On the Waiting List:

This is a speech that was read by Jeffrey at our 2006 Bowl For Kids Sake Kick-Off Luncheon.  "Hi. My name is Jeffrey and I have been on the waiting list for a Big Brother for almost 3 years. Both of my sisters have been matched in that time. While I have been waiting I have gone to Kids and Kops, I have also taken my first plane ride and gone fishing for the first time with Kids, Kops and Canadian Tire. Once a month I go to the gym day for Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Some of the things I like are wrestling, wrestling and more wrestling. If you know anyone that would like to be my Big Brother, have them call BBBS at 624-7655. There are also many other Little Brothers waiting to be matched. If you can spend 2 or 3 hours a week with me or others, please call.

Thank you.
Jeffrey"

Quote from a Mother:

"As a Mother I want you to know just how important Big Brothers is to us. Patrick is a boy who tends to stand back and watch before jumping in, he tends to have low self-esteem and quite often is nervous or uneasy. I have to tell you that in the past year your organization has helped incredibly with these issues. Patrick is thriving and growing more self-confident each day."

Quote from a Little Brother:

"I would have been major bad if it wasn’t for my Big Brother. I would have been a loser. He exposed me to a lot of different opportunities."
